Hydraulic fluid spills on road, Hazmat called

Hazmat responded to the intersection of Edwin C. Moses Boulevard and South Broadway Street on a hydraulic fluid spill Tuesday morning.
A truck was leaking the fluid after its hydraulic fluid line broke, according to reports. Hazmat was on the scene shortly and determined the spill did not pose any health or environmental risks.
The trail of fluid stretched about a mile from a business on River Road to Nicholas Road, which turns into Edwin C. Moses Boulevard, according to reports.
Authorities placed sand on the roadway to soak up the fluid, as it can get slick and cause problems for motorists.
